HAUKIVUORI MUISTOISSAMME

Every year a part of the history of Haukivuori is presented in the AllaprimA MuseuM on Saksalanharju. It is the intention to collect, print and publish old photographs, to exhibit books, subjects and give information about the history.

AREFS is interested in the verbal stories of people to collect these stories and make a local story presentation out of it.

The first exhibition in 2007 has given an overview based on the 'perinne albumi'. Next to it there were prints about the main subjects of Haukivuori. Like the center, the saw mill and Saksalanharju.

The subject of the second exhibition in 2008 was the period of the second world war visualized  by Saha-Sara, Lotta-Sward and correspondence between soldiers and family during this period.

In 2009 the main subject will be the 100 year anniversary of the Labor organization in Haukivuori and the old wooden buildings of the village.

In 2010 there is attention for the orphan children of Haukivuori and the landscape people where living in. This exhibition will show also drawings and aquarelles of Anna Sahlstén.
