  • Savon Radan ryhmä organizes activities along the historical Savo line






The Taidekirppujen yö is an annual event in August at the end of the summer holiday period. It combines different activities like music, performances, activities on the beach, the LABYRINTH for a various audience.

The event takes place on Saksalanharju-Kirkonkylä during the evening until midnight.

In 2009 the event will take place on Friday August 14 from 18-24.

This year also visual artists will get the possibility to present their work on a small art fair.

Exhibition Haukivuori Muistoissamme

The taidekirppujen yö creates an informal ambiance for the local community and all who want to spend an interesting evening with music, theater, artists and so on.

Part of the international program is Japanese calligraphy. The puppet theater of Aapo Repo attracts children. Aapo Repo presents a try-out of his new program.

The taidekirppujen yö invites national and international artists to participate in the program.
Japanese calligraphy, Finnish puppet theater, Dutch artists all to explore the cultural possibilities of Saksalanharju.

Children can also make their own colorful banner. Puppettheater crosses the line between reality and magic. Aapo Repo brings children in a fantastic world.

Different activities for children: painting colorful banners, puppet theater and a cooperative play with Aapo Repo.

The music group Tritones performs contemporary jazz melodies.   The event ends inside with music by Tritones.

The audience is very enthusiastic about the music of Tritones. They played different times outside as  inside as well.

The taidekirppujen yö is also the place where Saksala ArtRadius and AREFS introduces the international collaboration project CROSSROADS SAKSALANHARJU.

Artists from different Nordic countries will collaborate and produce art together.

The first selected participants meet each other during the taidekirppujen yö and discussed also with the visitors.
