Introduction of mono printing to the children of class 0, 1 and 2 at the Hiirola school. Writing the name of the backside of the printing paper, rolling the printing plate with ink put the paper on the plate. Make a drawing on the backside and the result is a print on the front.

Mono printing is working with layers which can be done in one session, but it is better to work in different sessions. The work can dry and the process can be reflected.
Children were working with the subject "The road from home to school". First the made a drawing of the objects they can find on the route and this drawing is used to start making mono-prints.

During the different sessions new possibilities are added to create new challenges in the use of the technique.

The process direct to unknown artistic areas and children will have wonderful experiences.

The final works will be published in the book THIS IS MY BACKYARD.
