The Art Circuit - Konstrundan 18-20.8.2017
Open studios 19-20.8, 11 am to 5 pm
For the tenth year in a row the Art Circuit (Konstrundan) opens the
doors to artists, craftsmen and designers along the West and South
coast of Finland. The Art Circuit offers you the opportunity to get
to know art and the people behind the art in the Swedishspeaking
regions of Finland. You can see anything from visual art to
handicraft, from photography to video art in the environment that
the art is being produced in.
During Art Friday we arrange activities outside the studios, and
this year our goal is to reach the children and the youth.

Studio 23 in Hiirola is hosting a workshop for families on Friday,
18.8.2017 at 3-5 pm. |
Our aim is to present the rich variety of art in Finland and let the
artists present themselves to them. The Art Circuit offers you the
possibility to see the artists' everyday life and to experience the
magic of the creative processes.
During the event 19.-20.8.2017, Saturday – Sunday, you can visit
artists at their ateliers between 11 am – 5 pm. A relaxed and
easy-to-approach atmosphere makes this a memorable event for both
visitors and artists!
As in previous years, more exact information about the open studios
and artists will be found in the Konstrundan magazine and online.
This year a group of artists in the Mikkeli
region is participating in the Konstrundan.
The organization of Konstrundan selected
6 artists. They have open
studios on Saturday 19.8 and Sunday 20.8 from 12-18.

In the magazine all the over 250 artists are represented by their
work, address and websites.
The magazine is available online and as well as printed. You can get
a copy for free when visiting one of the artists.
